When is the new Racecourse Park open, as we have been promise along time waiting, any hope there are more than one entrance to it from the Coast, as I am living in Grange Park over 38 yrs now, and would like to think that the existing estates like Grange Park and Staplion Lawns have a say and would welcome very much a opening near the entrance of Castlerose Estate, as I have Five young children all under the ages of twelve and I know my two young lads would like to be able to turn the corner and be near the park and not have to go far from there home, Tnxs C.H.

@Carol (grainne) the park name was decided as Baldoyle Racecourse Park.
Opening it up, the council have zero budget to do this. The Env. Minister took the money from council that funded such works. The new playground at the park funded by the developer is massively under sized to what was promised. The pitches are further delayed and 10.5 years late.

The opening, a public consultation was had on the entrance. If ever built the plan is to have a fenced corridor from Grange Road on to the park. Gate on the fence into Admiral & Castlerosse would be in place in a default locked state and future thought on the operation and opening could be entered into. This is my memory of the winning option of 3 put forward.

Thanks for your interest in the area. We need more residents taking part in the decisions of the area.

Seapark. Can there be opening for the park soon by entrance of the main Grange road opp. seagrange and at Stapolin/Castlerose to accommodate the existing estate of Stapolin that these land and old house was with, any chance of this being brought in the next meeting with Fingal and may a road opening up at Stapolin with a one way system through to the Coast,,,,,,,,,,when when when is this every going to happen. thanks Brian and keep up the good work.

a name to replace” Millennium
Park”

1 St Mary’s Park ( we have the convent, the school and the
hospital with this name it would be nice to retain it in the park)
2 Baldoyle Park ( this will be a park for new and old of Baldoyle)
3 The Racecourse Park ( as it will be built on the Racecourse lands)
4 The Children’s Park ( as none excises and it will be here in our
children’s future, and mostly used by them)

@Danny O’Connor: nice start to your comment – starting with an insult.

Stick to the facts. & keep up to date. This 3G antenna you comment on has been ruled OUT by Fingal Planning, it must not be cited near child care facility, that is the law.

there is a vodafone antenna outputting 2067+ micro watts per meter squared off the roof of the squash & leisure centre, any attention you can bring to this is most welcome.

meanwhile I am talking about the closure of public call boxes on the peninsula (http://url.ie/1b2r) and their future use as infill wifi / 4G. I’m a technofile not a technophobe. I want the best telco we can have in this area, but we get to plan it, not have it illegally rammed down our necks as it is currently being served.

You seem to have a notion that I am doing this to get elected! ROFL. Have a look at the time lines (Oct 2004-Sept 2005) of my involvement in the successful removal of multiple antennas at Baldoyle United Football Club after the June 2004 election 5 years ago. It is NOT for votes or seats in Swords or Kildare Street that the Socialist Party are here for. Are you mistaking us for some establishment party?

What a stupid tosser you are complaining about harmless antennae in Bayside Square. A lot of elderly folk now live in the Bayside area and need good mobile phone coverage to stay in touch with familly and friends and contact the emergency services when necessary. Land lines are much too expensive and people are getting rid of them in favour of their mobiles.You are on a loser if you expect to get any votes out of this campaign. I will be preparing flyers which will go into every home in Bayside outlining the folly of what you are at. These very small antennae do nobody any harm but do a lot of good for the community. Give it up now if you want to have any hope of getting on to the Fingal Council.
